US advertising firm Accenture Interactive has appointed Droga5’s CEO Bill Scott as its new managing director.

Scott will succeed outgoing MD Ben Bilboul in the role, who has also left his role as CEO of Accenture subsidiary Karmarama.

As a result, Scott will continue with his duties at Droga5 alongside his new role at the American agency.

Scott began his career with multinational ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi before spending over 12 years in a variety of roles at Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) before joining American firm, the Grey Group in 2012 to take over as UK MD.

An Accenture spokesperson said: “With Bilboul’s planned departure, Bill Scott, CEO of Droga5 UK will take on a broader role, assuming additional responsibilities, overseeing all of Accenture Interactive’s creative agencies in the UK and Ireland, which include Karmarama and Rothco. He will remain as CEO of Droga5 UK.”

New York-based Droga5 was founded in 2006 and launched UK operations in 2013. Bill Scott joined as CEO in 2016 as part of a new management team.

Droga5 was bought by Accenture in 2019 in what was at the time the agency’s biggest acquisition to date.

Ad agencies Karmarama, Rothco and The Monkeys all operate under the Accenture Interactive umbrella.
