TV network Channel 4 is collaborating with Barclays bank on the creation of a six-part series titled ‘Money on my Mind’ to raise awareness around on how people can better manage their finances.

The series was kicked off on 15 June with a video called “How to make your side hustle a full-time job” featuring a group of experts giving physiotherapist Alicia advice on how to manage her income and turn her part-time modelling work into a full-time career.

A selection of experts will be featured throughout the series, including money coach and founder of The Female Money Doctor, Dr Nikki Ramskill, qualified financial adviser Emmanuel Asuquo, and personal finance guru and founder of financial literacy platform Pennies to Pounds, Kia Commodore.

Planned by Omnicom agency OMD, three video edits will be featured as TV ads across Channel 4 and E4. The first ad premiered on 17 June during ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, whilst shortened edits of each episode will be released on Channel 4’s Facebook and Instagram channels this week.

“We are really excited about the partnership between Barclays and Channel 4, which allows our brands to come together to create an educational, engaging and informative digital content series to help our audiences tackle the financial challenges they face today, whether that’s getting on the property ladder or saving for their future goals,” Barclays UK chief marketing officer, Alisa Copeman said

4studio head of commercial innovation, David Amodio added: “The show is another great example of how the channel is working with brands to cut through to reach new audiences on social and deliver a message that is authentic and entertaining.’’
