NatWest chief marketing officer, Margaret Jobling has been appointed as the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers’ (ISBA) new president, replacing Moneysupermarket CEO Peter Duffy.

Having amassed many years of experience in the consumer goods and utilities sectors, Jobling has worked for the banking group since September 2020 and has previously worked for several other major businesses including Centrica, Bird’s Eye, Cadbury and Unilever.

Jobling, who has been an ISBA council member for seven years was unveiled as president at the society’s annual lunch held at Park Lane’s Sheraton Grand hotel. She will assume her duties with immediate effect.

The ISBA has said that the appointment comes at an important time, with business facing “a huge wave of regulation”,  a cost-of-living crisis and the ongoing impact of Brexit.

“I am really looking forward to making my contribution to this vital organisation.”

ISBA director general, Phil Smith added: “Margaret was our first choice as [Peter’s] successor, and I know her passion and experience will bring huge benefit to ISBA.”
