Amazon teams up with Heart radio station to wake up the nation with Alexa

Amazon and Heart radio station have teamed up to create a multimedia campaign to encourage the nation to say “Alexa, play Heart”.

Set to Lizzo’s hit ‘About Damn Time’, the 30-second sees Heart Breakfast presenters Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden accompany radio listeners through their morning routines.

While Holden lies in bed next to an unsuspecting mother, Theakston aids a man about to embark on a morning cycle.

“I’m so looking forward to sharing this campaign with everyone. When we first set about creating a TV ad to promote Heart, with Alexa, we wanted something that visualised the warmth and positivity that the brand and its presenters create on air, coupled with the magic-like qualities of Alexa,” Global director of brand marketing Samantha Codrington said.

Dreamt up by creative agency Adam&EveDDB, the ad will also air on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, as well as being included in several outdoor campaigns across the UK.

Amazon Alexa Country manager UK and Ireland, Dennis Stansbury, added: “We’re excited to have created an ad that reminds our customers how easy it is to listen to Heart using only their voice – and it’s just one of the many reasons our customers tell us they love their Alexa enabled devices.”

The promotion was also planned by PHD and produced by Rogue Films.
