SodaStream, the soda-making machine company, has undergone a re-brand to capitalise on the growing number of people making sparkling drinks at home.

According to data analytics company Kantar, consumer trends point towards a growing interest in ‘mixology’ this year.

The news comes months after the brand launched its 2022 Earth Day campaign with David Hasselhoff, pledging to save a baby sea turtle for every sparkling water maker sold during the month of April.

The ‘Push for good’ re-brand campaign also includes a new product range and sustainability pledge. The brand aims to reduce the carbon footprint of consumers by halting the number of canned sparkling beverages bought globally.

While the company’s new logo emulates that of the yin and yang emblem, SodaStream’s new colour design features various blues and greens, with a nod to sustainability and the colour of the earth.

“SodaStream is on a mission to empower people to make better choices for themselves and for the planet,” SodaStream global chief marketing officer, Karin Schifter-Maor, said.

“At the heart of our repositioning is the realization that every action has a much bigger reaction. Everything we do is a call to ‘Push for better’. Our consumer-centric strategy, combined with our digital transformation, enables us to evolve with our customers and provide them with the relevant value that supports an upgraded lifestyle. Together we push for better.”

London based agency Pearl Fisher helped create the new look as well as SodaStream’s creative advisor Eitan Cohen.
