Philadelphia has unveiled a new light-hearted campaign for the launch of their new gourmet cream cheese Philadelphia Intense.

The campaign, created by Ogilvy UK, showcases a series of intense moments that a couple share while experiencing the brand’s all-new cream cheese.

The social campaign features a variety of 20-second films that each depict the story of a man and a woman overcome by Philadelphia’s new product. While one ad sees the man describe the cheese as a ‘velvety wash of exquisite creaminess’, another video sees the pair share a baguette slathered in Philadelphia Intense, echoing the famous Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene.

The campaign will feature across VOD, out-of-home (OOH), social and influencer platforms.

“Philadelphia Intense is a new range of gourmet cream cheese with an intense flavour and a new creamy texture,” Mondelez International senior brand manager, Raphael Capitani, said.

“It’s designed for those “treat me” moments where you are momentarily whisked away another world. The campaign focuses on these ‘Intense moments’ you’ll experience with every bite.”

Ogilvy UK creative director, Andy Davis, added: “With the launch of Philadelphia Intense, people being overwhelmed by cream cheese is going to become a nationwide phenomenon. We are pleased to have a communications platform that lets them know they are not alone.”
