Wunderman Thompson wins Virgin Red account after competitive pitch

Virgin Group’s reward programme, Virgin Red has today named Wunderman Thompson UK as its lead creative and strategic agency following a competitive pitch process handled by the Aperto Partnership.

The global agency will now lead on Virgin Red’s creative and strategic output alongside CRM for the UK and the US.

Wunderman Thompson’s new remit will be centred around delivering innovative, engagement-driving campaigns that align with Virgin Red’s plans to launch in two new markets each year.

“We were seeking an agency that could combine strategic thinking, outstanding creativity, and practical CRM skills to help accelerate our growth,” Virgin Red’s managing director of product, marketing & customer experience, Kelly Best said.

Major upcoming developments for the programme will include a new brand idea, a flagship creative campaign, always-on paid performance executions, and a revamped CRM strategy.
