Socially-led creative agency, We Are Social has appointed Black Sheep co-founder Dan Keefe as head of its London studios, where he will lead a team of six.

Reporting into managing partner, Lucy Doubleday, Keefe’s new role will be centred around ‘championing creative excellence’ and pushing the boundaries of social-first film production.

Having seen off its most successful year to date, Keefe has been tasked with strengthening the agency’s relationships with major clients such as Meta, McCain and Pepsi; and will look to grow its portfolio over the coming year.

“Brands are increasingly opting for a more agile production model and this is something We Are Social Studios is perfectly placed to deliver,” Keefe said.

“I’m looking forward to getting stuck into this amazing opportunity to lead a business that’s already got great momentum, working with and building upon an impressive roster of brands who want world class, social-first production.”

Keefe will also have a significant role to play in the delivery of the agency’s production commitments in its 2023 Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Charter for Change; which looks to ensure fair representation of talent both on and off screen.

Doubleday added: “We’re delighted to have Dan on board. His experience is a perfect fit for We Are Social Studios and he’s got the skills we need to accelerate the growth we’ve seen to date, and deliver on our broader commitments.

“Clients are already seeing the benefit of working with a team that has a vast experience of understanding people’s behaviour on social media; Dan will be able to tap into this to build We Are Social Studios’ reputation as a world-class production house amongst an even wider audience.”
