Global creative agency VCCP has this week named its first-ever chief creative officer for its US-based business, poaching Jed Grossman from Virginia-based Arts & Letters.

Beginning his role effective immediately, Grossman will report into global chief creative officer, Darren Bailes and will be tasked with shaping the creative vision for VCCP US, driving its development and growth across the North American marketplace.

The move follows the recent merger between VCCP New York and its San Francisco-based creative agency Muhtayzik Hoffer to create a single entity earlier this year.

During his five years as executive creative director of Arts & Letters, the agency grew from 18 to over 160 members of staff, gaining a global client base including Google and ESPN.

“With the merger of VCCP NY and M/H complete and Jed coming on board, we have the leadership in place to propel the agency to new heights. He has a challenger spirit that aligns with our values, and I look forward to seeing his impact on our business,” VCCP US CEO, Brett Edgar said.

Having also spent time at B-Reel and at Mother’s New York offices in senior roles, Grossman has seen his work receive numerous awards from organisations such as Cannes Lions and D&AD.

On his appointment, Grossman added: “VCCP US embraces bravery and openness in its approach to creativity, and those values ultimately drew me toward the agency.

“I look forward to partnering with leadership to inspire this team of dreamers toward developing work with our clients that transcends traditional advertising.”
