International agency Dentsu Creative has named Julie Chadwick and Guy Ainsworth as joint managing directors of its UK branch, promoting them from their managing partner roles out of its Manchester office.

In her new role, Chadwick will be tasked with overseeing social and PR, content, entertainment and partnerships, whilst Ainsworth will head up integrated brand relationships at Dentsu Creative and group level.

“Having led our teams across Manchester and London, these two are beyond sharp on the work, protective of our people, and committed to our clients. The best in the business. This next chapter at Dentsu Creative is looking a whole lot brighter for having Guy and Julie at the helm”  Dentsu Creative UK chief executive Jessica Tamsedge said.

Both had previously lead Manchester-based agency BJL before its acquisition by Dentsu in 2019, when it was subsequently merged with Dentsumcgarrybowen in 2021.

On her appointment, Chadwick commented: “Dentsu Creative is filled with the most talented, brilliant human beings and I’m grateful for the opportunity to better support them, our clients and work with Guy and Jessica in shaping our collective future.”

Chadwick joined BJL in 2015 at board level to lead earned practice, while Chadwick initially joined the firm as a graduate 15 years ago, dealing with client service and strategy.

“I am super excited to be stepping into this new role and work closely with this incredible new leadership team for the next phase of Dentsu Creative,” Ainsworth added.
