Global advertising agency Dentsu has named André Andrade as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Dentsu EMEA replacing the outgoing Giulio Malegori.
Promoted from his role as CEO of Dentsu Iberia and Sub-Saharan Africa, Andrade’s appointment follows Malegori’s own promotion to the role of chief operating officer for Dentsu Group Inc.
In his new position, Andrade has been entrusted with driving the agency’s growth strategy and business execution in the EMEA region, as well as overseeing its client and solutions hub, with a focus on growing the business in a client-centric way.
“André has shown passion and commitment to bringing together the best of Dentsu and spearheaded innovation to deliver integrated solutions at scale,” Dentsu Group CEO and president, Hiroshi Igarashi said.

“I am looking forward to working in close collaboration as we continue to focus on putting our clients at the center, and delivering a seamless, integrated experience, driving growth and competitive advantage.”
Having worked within the Dentsu portfolio for close to two decades, this latest step is Andrade’s highest-profile career move yet. Dentsu is due to announce his successor to the CEO of Iberia and Sub-Saharan Africa role in the near future.
Andrade himself added: “We are committed to embracing client-centricity at the core of everything we do and the decisions we make. I am ready to take on this next opportunity with Dentsu and look forward to working together with our 16,000 people across EMEA in delivering innovation and people-centred transformation for clients.”
