Global science-led conservation charity ZSL has selected independent media agency The Kite Factory to implement its new multi-channel strategy, after it won a competitive pitching process.

The agency will oversee the conservation charity’s media planning and buying; it will utilise a combination of digital and offline channels to help optimise outreach and engagement.

The approach will encompass paid search, paid social, display, affiliates, OOH, TV, print and radio. The agency will use its expertise to drive reach across the organisations spectrum of platforms – promoting the iconic London and Whipsnade zoos.

Its experience of working creatively within budget constraints will allow The Kite Factory to introduce innovative solutions that amplify the impact of each ZSL campaign.

Earlier this year The Kite Factory named Emily Underhill as its head of marketing and new business with a view to supercharging its growth plans.

Over the last three years, the agency has grown by over 43% and works for a variety of commercial and not-for-profit organisations including WaterAid, White Claw, Crisis, Lovehoney, Triodos Bank and Little Freddie.

“The Kite Factory’s innovative approach aligns seamlessly with our mission to connect people with wildlife and inspire a lifelong love of animals in the conservations of tomorrow. We look forward to leveraging its expertise to enhance our reach and drive attendance to our iconic conservation zoos,” said ZSL head of marketing Penny Hamilton.

Kite Factory digital managing partner Ben Foster added: “We are really excited to partner with ZSL, an institution synonymous with wildlife conservation and education.”

“As an agency we believe we are uniquely equipped to meet this challenge head-on, employing our diverse skill set to connect with audiences and help ZSL realise their growth ambitions.”
