M&C Saatchi has poached McCann creative duo Rob Doubal and Laurence ‘Lolly’ Thomson, who will join the agency as joint chief creative officers.

The pair joined McCann London in 2012 from Wieden&KennedyLondon, having worked at Mother London prior to that.

Speaking to Campaign magazine, the pair described MC Saatchi as “an agency with one of the most famous names in advertising history, and a legacy of creative brilliance”.

The move comes as executive chair Zillah Byng-Thorne has expressed a desire to continue to focus on creativity, describing changes from AI as being an opportunity to leverage creativity as a way to set the offering apart.
