Suicide awareness charity Men’s Minds Matter has launched a fresh campaign which uses match day anxiety as a wider framework through which to explore men’s mental health more widely.

Created by Media Bounty and entitled ‘Anxious every day, not just match day’ the campaign is currently live across London and Manchester, as Arsenal and Manchester City battle it out for the top prize as a tightly fought Premier League season comes to a close.

The creative which was displayed on pro bono advertising space from Ocean Outdoor features practical advice from the awareness charity, including breathing exercises and a lighter practical tone that is more likely to resonate with men, with the aim being to provide solutions that can be used practically.

“If you know an Arsenal or City fan… you know there’s only one thing on their mind this week. Central to Men’s Minds  Matters’ clinical model is arming people with the skills to deal with emotions like anxiety,” said Media Bounty senior copywriter and Men’s Minds Matter director Tommy Lee.

“This was the perfect opportunity to tell that story – with a light touch perfect for our audience. Of course, if you feel like this every week, there’s help available at MensMindsMatter.org,” he continued.
