Rail operator the East Midlands Railway has selected five agencies to place on its creative roster, concluding a review process kicked off earlier this year.
Selected for a spot on the roster were: Atomic London, Scottish agency Leith, McCann Birmingham, Manchester-based Meanwhile and London’s Motel.
Both Atomic London and McCann Birmingham retain a place on the roster, having worked with the business since since 2020 and 2022 respectively.

Speaking to Campaign, a spokesperson for the rail operator that having wider scope of retained agencies would enable it to “increase the diversity of businesses” that it works with, helping to “bring a fresh approach and skillset to each brief”.
The company operates rail services between London St Pancras and Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, as well as the Luton Airport Express.
The review was initially announced via a LinkedIn post by Luton Airport Express’s brand manager Natalie Sanderson, who wrote that East Midlands was looking for “creative agencies who can bring fresh, fun and result-driving ideas”.
